As a group we chose to research the Occupy Wall Street movement. Most of us had heard a lot about the Occupy movement, but didn't know very much about it. There has been a lot in the news and other media about Occupy and Wall Street so we decided to learn more about it for ourselves. Take a trip through our website, learn the history, background, reasons behind the movement, and our thoughts and analysis of the political commentary being made about the Occupy movement. We have also provided numerous links that take you to articles and videos relating to the subject, please start by clicking on the background tab.
Click on the media smarts tab to learn more about media effects theories and how they pertained to this project. Under the political cartoons tab you can click on the positive and negative tabs for our cartoon analysis, where we posted the editorial cartoons that we chose from our search on the Occupy Wall Street movement. We analyzed these cartoons to show the different viewpoints and what reality is being portrayed by the author about politicians, occupiers, and the wealthy.
