I think that the Occupy Wall Street movement is long in coming. People in this country have a lot of emotion, and we have opinions about everything. We want to express when we are angry especially. After the long recession, the housing crises, and unemployment rates rates reaching disheartening highs, there was bound to be some sort of public outcry. I think that for the most part people are just doing what they can to let their voices be heard.

I think that both sides have a point. The 1% should be more aware of the people who make less than them. They shouldn't get tax breaks or special privelages. On the other hand, the 99% should be working for what they want. Rather than protesting, they should be trying to find a job and going to school. Clearly they have the right to protest, but I think overall we need to change our policies and ideas as a society before anything will be able to change for working class people. The government will have to be the ones to make the ultimate change.

When I first started out on this project I had no clue what
it was and I also had no opinion about what was happening. After doing my
research and finding the cartoons pertaining to the Occupy Wall Street movement
I have decided that this indeed is a big deal. I don’t know if I can really
choose one side that I would have to agree with. You would probably not ever
see me out there protesting with Occupy Wall Street, I think that the occupiers
are going about this protest in the wrong way. However I do believe that the individuals
in the “1%” do need to take the concerns of the “99%” into consideration. I am
not saying that I have a solution for the problem, however I think there are
better ways that both sides could handle the situation.

After countless hours spent studying the Occupy movement I've decided to start my own movement called "occupying good grades." My new movement will from now on demand that I be given all A's from my professors, oh and so should everyone else. I mean after all it is sooo not fair that some people are taking all the A's without giving me any, seriously share the GPA! Why waste countless hours of reading, and studying? I have better things to do.
On a more serious note I think that people today really are looking for a handout and don't realize what it takes to become successful and rich. The system hasn't failed us, we have failed to teach our children our family and friends that despite popular belief sooner or later hard work really does pay off. Money is not the root of all evil, but the love of money is.

After researching the Occupy Wall Street Movement, I find myself in agreement with the Occupiers. Time and time again Corporate America has found a way to circumvent the regulations and laws put in place to keep them from getting out of control. The politicians are no help either, they simply pander to the 1% because money wins elections, not votes.
The mere fact that Wall St. CEO's have the audacity to tell the Occupiers to get jobs, when in fact some of them are the very same people they laid off, is morally reprehensible. If they would be willing for a short time, give up their bonuses to create more jobs, then the economy would get better and they would once again start making a profit.
And the media, don't even ask them to give you a straight story! They spend more time showing the crazies and the freak shows, that the sensible people who are there for reasons that aren't outlandish or contradicting are never heard. Oh yes, you have the spoiled brats who want hand outs and would rather lazy about that work. But they aren't the majority, they're the focus of the news stories and magazine articles.
As a society we should be ashamed of our inaction and fix the problems ourselves, because it is more than obvious that our elected officials aren't willing to fix it for us.
